DAY 1 Arrival in Leh | Leisure Day

Welcome to Leh! Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring nearby places like Leh Bazaar for local crafts and Tibetan artefacts. Visit Leh Palace for panoramic views of the Stok Kangri range and the surrounding landscapes. In the evening, relax and prepare for the journey ahead.

DAY 2 Ride from Leh to Stok Village

Today, collect your bike from the hotel and begin a sightseeing tour with a visit to Shey Palace, home to a grand copper Buddha statue. Continue to Thiksey Monastery, a 12-story monastery resembling Tibet’s Potala Palace, offering scenic views. Next, explore Hemis Monastery, Ladakh’s largest, renowned for its sacred relics and vibrant Hemis Festival. Later, visit Stok Village and Stok Palace, the residence of the Ladakhi royal family. Later, ride back to the hotel for a stay.

DAY 3 Ride from Leh to Kargil

Start your day by checking-out of the hotel and heading to Kargil via Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Stop at the Drass War Memorial, honouring soldiers of the Kargil War. Drass is the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Pass through Namika La and Fotu La before reaching Kargil, a strategic town on the Srinagar-Leh highway. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel and have an overnight stay.

DAY 4 Ride from Kargil to Padum

In the morning, check-out of the hotel and ride your own bike to Padum. On the way, stop at Rangdum Village, offering panoramic Himalayan views. The peak’s isolated location makes it a mesmerizing sight in Zanskar Valley. Spend time exploring the area and its spiritual significance. Later, continue the journey to Purne, a quiet village surrounded by Himalayan terrain, offering a glimpse into the remote lifestyle. As you reach, check-in at the hotel and have an overnight stay.

DAY 6 Ride from Purne to Padum | Phuktal Monastery Trek

Today, check out of the hotel and head to Purne Bridge, the starting point for the Phuktal Monastery trek. Hike to this 12th-century cliffside monastery, known for its meditation caves and ancient prayer halls. After the trek, return to Purne and continue your journey to Padum. En route, visit Sani Village, home to one of the region’s oldest monasteries. Explore Karsha Monastery, the largest in Zanskar, and Stongde Monastery, offering valley views. Later, Check-in to the hotel for night stay.

DAY 7 Ride from Padum to Lamayuru

On this day, check out of your hotel and embark on a journey to Lamayuru. En route, visit Zangla Fort, a historic fortress offering scenic valley views. Continue to Lingshed Village, home to the serene Lingshed Monastery. Cross the high-altitude Singge La and Sirsir La Passes, witnessing Himalayan landscapes. Stop at Photoksar Village, a hamlet with traditional Ladakhi homes. Finally, reach Lamayuru, known for its ancient monastery and surreal moon-like terrain, before checking-in to your hotel.

DAY 8 Ride from Lamayuru to Leh via Sham Valley

Today, check-out of the hotel, and head to Leh on your bike. On the way, visit Sham Valley. Stop at Alchi Monastery, famous for its ancient murals, and Likir Monastery, home to a 23m-tall golden Buddha statue. Next, visit Nimu Village, where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet. Further, explore Basgo Monastery, known for its historical importance before reaching Leh. Check-in at your hotel and have an overnight stay.

DAY 9 Departure Day
